I just blindly put on shorts and thin layers and mentally prepare myself to freeze but the freeze never comes
I’m pretty sure that’s how most of the male gender chooses their wardrobe for the day. If winter wasn’t me taking a break from having to constantly...

It looked too nice outside. It had to be freezing.
But, no, I stepped out the door and almost broke a sweat in my already three layers of clothes.
The sun is out and it’s hovering just below 60F.
WTF Michigan. Seriously. Not that I’m complaining, but you’re having hot flashes and I’m mildly concerned.

But shipping is the ultimate literary criticism vehicle.
Sure, I’m just a little freaked out by having what is basically an explanation of slash fiction as required reading in school.

I've gotta be honest.
We’ve been reading essays about the controversies within Huck Finn in American Lit, and all of them are like, “THIS IS AN AMAZING BOOK except for whole second half.”
Well. There are more than a few books that are solid all the way through and don’t even get mentioned as a candidate for the canon so why the heck are we reading this book.
And every essay is either like...

Wha-a-a-a-at. I’ve never voluntarily been that far down Westnedge so I have never seen this place before in my life.
Why does Michigan have two of them.

Soft, nougaty center.
I almost wrote that.

So it turns out Gingerbeard was going to do a cat island.
And my sarcastic, flippant remark of, “No natural island in its right mind should be shaped like a cat!” might have talked him out of it. When we talked about it later I asked him what he was going to do and he said he didn’t know.
Why do I feel so bad about talking him out of having a cat-shaped island?

We have an island project in Geology.
We have to make our own themed island.
All the examples she showed us were like, “This one’s fish-themed!” and “This one’s a cat!”
No self-respecting, natural island would look like perfectly round cat head.
So. I’m doing a Dante’s Inferno theme with a “Satan” mountain with three spikes and a “Virgil” mountain and one of...

At the risk of sounding like a girl who flatters everyone, straight up, you’re probably one of the best guys I have ever known.
I don’t know what I would have done those first few weeks of college if I would have had to sit alone by myself in the cafeteria. You never know. It’s a community college. They let in all kinds of riff-raff.
Anyway. You have an excellent taste in...

If someone can explain to me
the difference between punk and post-punk
hardcore and post-hardcore (or just the hardcore genre in general… is it like screamo? thrash? metal?)
and metal and metalcore
I will forever be in your debt.
I am at a loss here. I guess I’ve been out of the scene too long.

Fun fact:
The German word for kitchen is Küche.
The word for laundry room is Waschküche.
By this logic, the only room in the house for women is not only the kitchen, but also the laundry room.

So the lake of emotions was dredged last night at community group because we split into girl/guy groups. I really don’t want to get into it but I basically sat there stone faced the whole time because I was afraid that if I started talking I’d start crying, and I really didn’t want to cry or explain why I was crying.
Now I’m that lake that is all muddy and weird because...

Good things about working self checkout fifteen hours this weekend:
My legs always come out in better shape.
Bad things about working self checkout fifteen hours this weekend:
Ow, my legs/knees/every joint in the lower half of my body. People are freaking stupid. My homework is not done, and that’s basically all I can think about. I am running on minimal sleep.

Looking back on these past few weeks,
especially this last week, I don’t know how I’ve been surviving.
It feels like I’m just wildly throwing things at all the problems and situations in my life and somehow everything has been working out just fine, and it horrifies me to say something like that. I feel like I’ve jumped into the deep end and I’m just floundering and somehow keeping my head above the...

so last night in WoD
our characters encountered Mages and one hit on Parker, my character and I was like, “Awww, Parker would like him. He’s cute.” and then less than a minute later game time the cop in our group shot him in the head
and I honestly don’t even think he was the bad guy
the whole group just kind of exploded because the cop always does this crap
he didn’t even interrogate...

I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I just did. Assassin’s Code is out April 10th!
