There should be a button in my life
that allows me to pause my cold and go to work.
I don’t mind having a mild cold.
I do mind not having any money.
Also my dad keeps telling me/shouting at me to go quarantine myself. I quarantined myself in his room earlier, and I used his pillow. So.

FanFic completed.
It’s-a Mario Kart!
I wrote it in, like, three hours, so it’s not gold.
But it is gold. It’s Mario Kart, and Stanford is Toad.
Man, according to ff.net it’s been over two and a half years since I last published fanfiction. Dang.

My sister is Wii Bowling
and I look over and she’s swinging the remote overhand style and it keeps telling her to stop.
I ask her what she’s doing and she says, “Apparently it doesn’t like the way I bowl.”

I never get phone calls.
Today I got a phone call whilst I was getting changed in the dressing room at JC Penney. It was Ashley and she needed to talk so I was that awkward person in the dressing room that everybody listens to have a conversation on the phone.
Me talking is amplified by a thousand when I’m in a place where there are people and nobody actually really talks, like a bathroom...

I love it when I wake up and my body feels like...
Flipping cramps. Why can’t you just go away without me ingesting a more than the recommended amount of painkillers.

Eragon Casting Wishlist
scruffy-vas-tardis:
Director - David Yates (Who better to helm Warner Bros much needed new IP than the man who perfected Harry Potter. Besides, it’ll distract him from this Doctor Who abomination he’s adamant on developing.)
Eragon - Jeremy Irvine (of the movie War Horse)
Brom - Jeremy Irons (the first movie got a couple things right)
Roran - Lucas Till (Havok from First Class)
Arya -...

All this lack of snow better make up for itself...
And by that I mean when school starts it we better get five feet a week or something.
Because seriously. It’s been winter for a month now and I haven’t had the pleasure of looking out and going, “Oh look, it’s snowing!”
Except for that one time at school and we didn’t get any at my house.
Dear Weather,
Get with the program.
Love, Me

600 pages in almost seven hours straight of reading. Not bad for a girl who took almost three weeks to get through a 300 book in during the semester.
I forgot how amazing it feels to just shut myself in my room and read all day.
It’s fantastic. Just saying.
Also Inheritance is bordering on redeeming the whole plotline of the series and my anger at the author for all he’s done to...

scruffy-vas-tardis replied to your post: Merry Christmas everybody!
I got that for Christmas too! Re-reading Eragon, Eldest, and Brisingr first though.
I have no patience (read “I was too angry at Paolini for making me wait this long for the end of a mostly cliché story”) to reread them, so it’s great for him to put a nifty summary of the events of the past three books in the...
Merry Christmas everybody!
For those of you who celebrate it, I hope it was fantastic!
I’ve spent the past four hours reading Inheritance. Flip this book is long… it only got exciting about 200 pages in, and I’ve had my face glued to it ever since, only prying myself away to stuff sweet potato fries in my mouth. Spoiler-free review to come when I’m finished.

Christmas is a success.
I got an iPod nano, which I didn’t need but I asked for because my current mp3 player is a solid four years old at least and it’s on its last leg. I named the iPod Sharkbait. It’s blue and tiny.
I also got a jacket slash sweater that is basically amazing.
Also candy and a mug thing.
And then the presents I already had were my laptop, which was mostly my birthday present...

MERRY CHRISTMAS LIONS FANS!!!!
drdatsyuk:
I will openly admit that I am a fair weather fan. Not because I didn’t believe in the Lions or whatever, I just didn’t care about the sport. I’m not going to pretend that I have been here since the beginning. I’m not going to pretend that I gave a shit about football when the Lions were 0-16. But I know how big this is. And I am so happy for all of you that HAVE been through the hard...

writeletterstoyou:
Dear You,
I’m not excited. I’ve never been excited for christmas. These past few years, it only seems to add to my depression, it extracts all the earlier happiness from my heart. I’ve grown to understand, from all these years, that I shall never be happy the way Christmas is high spiritedly thrown out in the early morning. And dammit if it isn’t my namesake, Saint Nick....

but in other news
we were so busy at my place of employment today I never got to take my last break and I didn’t even notice because I was always worrying about how long my line was
I didn’t run into anybody in a bad mood though and that made my day infinitely better
so happy holidays you guys
I don’t care what religion/belief system you subscribe to or what holiday you celebrate
it’s...

It's the most fantastic thing
to come home to a completely restored desktop computer.
Completely restored.
All the songs I bought right before? They’re all there.
This is stupidly fantastic. I don’t even have words. I’m just sitting here waving my arms incredulously at the computer.
